While the reflection of the flames from the incandescent material was still visible in the smoke. For seismicity, Continuous tremor (Microtremor) was recorded with an amplitude of 3-15 mm (dominant 6 mm).

“Our people ask to use masks and goggles when doing activities outside. Meanwhile, the safe distance at the alert level of Mount Raung is still 2 kilometers from the summit,” he said.

Meanwhile, even though the Banyuwangi area is raining, the volcanic ash of Mount Raung still hurts the eyes of motorbike motorists. Especially people in Banyuwangi City.

The rain of volcanic ash also caused Banyuwangi Airport to be temporarily closed on Sunday (7/2). The closure was carried out from 08.50 to 14.50 WIB and was extended for 6 hours.
